QuickGrip

QuickGrip repair and replace tyres at the roadside across Hertfordshire, usually within 45 minutes. They had tried Google Ads on their own without much luck, so we rebuilt the account over a weekend and tied every lead to the job it became. It has since brought in 3,573 leads.

How it happened

Feb 2025

Referred on a Friday, live on the Monday

Yannis and Habib had already tried running Google Ads themselves, and the phone had barely moved. They were referred to us on a Friday, so we built the account and the page over the weekend, and the ads went live on Monday 24 February 2025.

The page answers the three things a driver with a flat tyre wants to know straight away: how quickly someone can get to them, whether they need to pay upfront, and whether they can trust the people turning up.

The first full month brought in 79 leads

In March 2025 the account brought in 79 calls and quote requests at £14.17 each, on £1,120 of spend.

For a business that had struggled to get Google Ads working, that was enough to prove the demand was there and that the phone would ring when the ads were set up properly.

A job in Milton Keynes redrew the map

One early job took a van on a 37-mile round trip to Milton Keynes, and while it was on the motorway it could not take the calls coming in closer to home.

So we tightened the service area to the towns QuickGrip could reach inside 45 minutes, and the account stopped paying for clicks from drivers the vans could not get to in time.

Every job was logged with what it was worth

The QuickGrip team logged a sale value against every job in StrikeTwice, our call and lead tracking.

Those values go back into Google Ads, so the bidding learns which searches book paid jobs rather than which ones just make the phone ring. This summer, just over half of all leads turned into a paid job.

2025 to 2026

Leads grew from 79 a month to 430

Monthly spend grew from around £1,100 to more than £8,000, and in February 2026 the account brought in 430 leads in a single month.

By the spring, though, the cost of each lead had started to climb, because there are only so many people in Hertfordshire searching for a mobile tyre fitter on any given day.

So we spent less and got more

In June we cut the monthly budget to around £4,000 and told Google Ads to aim for £20 a lead instead of £30. The cost per lead fell from £31.72 in May to £15.97 in August.

August brought in 210 leads on £3,354 of spend, against 247 leads on £7,836 in May, so QuickGrip kept 85% of the leads for 43% of the spend.

Now the vans are heading into Buckinghamshire

Hertfordshire had become the ceiling, so on 15 September 2026 we launched a new campaign for Buckinghamshire. It takes the account from around £4,000 a month to £8,000.

The plan is the one that worked the first time: a tight service area, a page built for drivers who need help now, and every job logged with what it was worth.
